Hello, my name is Wim Geerits, and I am the founder of WGED, a young and dynamic engineering company based in Peer Belgium. I graduated in 2006 as an Automotive Engineer with a specialization in Product Design and have since built up 18 years of experience in design and development across various industries.

My professional journey began in the RV (recreational vehicle) industry in 2006, followed by 17 years as a design engineer at Hegge ID (2007–2024), where I worked on a wide variety of projects across different sectors. These include machine construction, agriculture, transport, festival equipment, healthcare equipment, interior design, and wood and gas heating systems.

At WGED, I combine this broad industry experience with deep technical know-how to offer customized engineering services. I work with a wide network of trusted suppliers — from prototyping partners to full-scale production facilities — which allows me to guide projects efficiently from concept to manufacturing.

We use a broad range of production techniques (vacuum forming, polyester hand lay-up, rotational moulding, sheet metal work, tubing, extrusion profiles,…). Our goal is always to deliver smart, practical, and visually refined solutions.
